April 2007 Bay Roan Stallion We raised Hallmarked Playboy (Poncho) here on the ranch where he and his father were born. Marias Hallmarked was killed when he was a six year old and never really got much of a chance at life. So when this guy came along we decided since both his sire and dam showed lots of cow and a general overall good attitude to leave him a stallion and see what happens. Fortunately, for us, Vance Kaglea has taken Poncho from the beginning to where he is today. He has not been pushed hard, but has shown well in the working cow horse events. At the 2011 Canadian Supreme, Poncho pretty well cleaned house in the Open Hackamore and ended the year as the ARCHA Reserve Champion. Vance is standing Poncho at High River, Alberta and his first foal crop came along in 2014. It is an exciting time when you see them born and are lucky to watch them grow up and show what they can do. Sold in 2020.
